CEO & Director

Mr. Morabito started his career as a corporate finance and securities lawyer in Toronto in 1994. In 2001, he made the jump to the business side, founding what is now King and Bay West, a merchant bank and technical services group based in Vancouver. King and Bay West specializes in incubating junior companies and financing and leading them through the IPO and senior listings stages.  Mr. Morabito has over 20 years’ experience in public markets and extensive experience in capital-raising and corporate development, having raised over CDN$800 million for companies he has been involved with in a senior executive role.   Mr. Morabito founded and has been the principal driving force behind a number of successful resource development companies including Alderon Iron Ore Corp., Excelsior Mining Corp. and has lead two companies from the junior listing stage through NYSE listings. In 2013, Mr. Morabito led the Alderon team that struck an off-take agreement with Hebei Iron and Steel Corporation, China’s largest steel producer and the second largest steel producer in the world, in Hebei’s first ever foreign investment deal  worth over CDN$400 million.

Mr. Morabito has a BA from Simon Fraser University (1990) and completed his J.D. at the University of Western Ontario (1993), after which time he practiced as a Canadian securities lawyer (1994-2001).


Mr. Lotz is a Chartered Accountant with 18 years of experience primarily in the minerals industry and related securities businesses. He has held CFO positions with several well-known mining and exploration companies including African Queen Mines, Sacre-Coeur Minerals, Ltd., and Prophecy Resources Corp.

He has also served as a senior executive officer for two Vancouver based securities firms and a financial compliance officer for the Vancouver Stock Exchange. Mr. Lotz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a joint major in Economics.


Mr. Grayston has spent thirty years in public company management and as a finance and economics consultant.  He sits on the board of several different public companies. Mr. Grayston received a Ph.D. in finance and economics from the University of Chicago in 1971, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1969 and a B. Comm. from the University of British Columbia in 1966 and became a Certified General Accountant in 1977. 


Stewart Wallis began his career with Cominco Ltd. carrying out exploration for base and precious metals throughout Eastern Canada.  In the mid 1980s he was Western US Manager for Noranda Exploration and later Vice-President Exploration for Nevada Goldfields Inc, a mid-sized gold producer.  Since 1994, he has been the managing director of Sundance Geological Ltd., a consulting company which provides geological services including due diligence, prefeasibility and NI 43-101 Technical Reports on gold, PGE, uranium and base metal operating and exploration properties located throughout the world.  Mr. Wallis was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Jet Metal Corp. (formerly Crosshair Energy Corp.) (TSX) from 2009 until April 2012, and  from March 2014 until July 2016 he was President and CEO of Logan Resources Ltd. He currently sits on the boards and is a member of the Audit Committees of Jet Metal Corp. (TSX) and  Logan Resources Ltd. (TSX-V).  Mr. Wallis received his B.Sc. in Geology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. His professional affiliations include APEG B.C.
